Wùo Taï Modules

◼︎ Module ① Articulations

This module is designed to introduce participants to the world and essence of Wùo Taï, helping them become familiar and comfortable with its practice. It is the first module in a curriculum focused on articulations.

In this module, you will learn the foundational Wùo Taï gestures (techniques) that work with the articulations, while also being introduced to the philosophy of movement, the vision of Wuo Tai, and contemporary expressions of osteopathic principles.

This course is open to anyone curious about Wùo Taï, including massage therapists, bodyworkers, therapists of all kinds, dancers, and yoga practitioners.

The techniques taught can easily be incorporated into your current treatments or mat-based practice, elevating playfulness and potential to the next level.

As the first of six modules, this session is like a buffet with a variety of offerings: by absorbing many different elements, the fire of practice will be ignited again and again, opening new windows to the possibilities of bodywork.

Wùo Taï contributes to well-being in today’s increasingly anxious society.

By sharing gestures (manual techniques) between practitioner and recipient, it helps cultivate bliss, joy, vitality, self-respect, and a calm, peaceful state of mind—the very sources of our humanity.

Prerequisite:
No prior experience in bodywork or therapy is required—anyone with an interest is welcome to participate.

◼︎ Module ② Myo-fascia

Fascia is a part of white connective tissue divided into three layers, and it is located in the first (superficial) layer.

Fascia plays a crucial role in the development of muscles and bones, as well as in motor coordination and the structure of movement.

It serves as a link between the “gesture of thought” and the “gesture in motion” (the danced gesture).

In this module, you will learn gestures (techniques) that work with the fascia, focusing on anatomy and physiology in a playful and engaging way.

The reciprocal tension of the fascia will help support your connection with yourself and with others.

Prerequisite:
No prior experience in bodywork or therapy is required—anyone with interest is welcome to participate.

◼︎ Module ③ Visceral / Internal Organs

In this module, you will learn the anatomy, physiology, embryology, and functions of the internal organs—including the brain, heart, pericardium, lungs, kidneys, stomach, diaphragm, intestines, reproductive organs, and bladder—while exploring Wuo Tai Osteo approaches for each organ using gestures.

The motility of each organ will also be addressed.

Note: The content of this module is currently being updated.

Prerequisite:
There are no specific prerequisites.

As this is the third module of Wuo Tai Osteo, it builds on foundational techniques. If you have not yet studied Wuo Tai Osteo and are considering enrolling in Module ③ Visceral / Internal Organs, it is recommended that you first complete the basic course, Module ① Articulation.

◼︎ Module ④ Fascia

In this module, you will learn gestures (techniques) that work with the entire connective tissue system.

You will work with three different layers:

  1. Superficial (surrounding muscles and bones)

  2. Intermediate (internal organs)

  3. Deep (meninges)

Using the support of this “fabric” (fibrous network), we will perform work based on listening, testing, and correction.

We will also learn how to navigate the “mute zone,” a method for reinventing the therapeutic gestures that are characteristic of Wuo Tai.

Prerequisite:
Participants must have completed at least one module from the first-year curriculum. (Module 1, 2, or 3)

◼︎Module ⑤ Osteopathy

This course focuses primarily on the structures of the skull, spine, and pelvis (sacrum), exploring anatomy, movement function, and learning to identify and correct specific functional disorders.

By focusing on the visceral and central nervous systems and approaching the spine, participants can help regulate various life functions and achieve effective results in improving conditions of the lower back, back, and neck, as well as disorders related to these functional impairments.

This module emphasizes therapeutic outcomes (symptom improvement) and provides complementary tools that can be easily integrated into your practice.

All technical aspects of gestures (techniques) and movement are taught with both theoretical and practical support.

You will learn methods that are technical yet effective, allowing freedom and comfort for both practitioner and the recipient’s fascia.

Prerequisite:
Participants must have completed at least two modules taught by Roland.

Note: For those who have not taken at least two modules with Roland but wish to participate, enrollment may be considered if you have completed at least one module and possess several years of bodywork experience. Please consult with us for eligibility.

◼︎ Module ⑥ Energy and Meridians

While studying the anatomy, physiology, embryology, and motility of the organs, participants will learn Wuo Tai Osteo approaches for each meridian (pericardium, heart, triple burner, stomach, lungs, kidneys, intestines, bladder), as well as tests to assess the state of the body.

Prerequisite:
Participants must have completed at least two Wuo Tai Osteo modules (①–⑥), including Module ③ Visceral / Internal Organs.
